The best service I have ever experienced. Always attentive, pleasant, friendly, helpful with menu and wine selections. The atmosphere is very quaint and welcoming. You can sit in the middle of the cafe in the mix of it all, at the window watching the the town of Fairfax as you sip a glass of wine and nibble from a cheese plate, or outside in their adorable "patio" seating. But you won't truly know how great Amelie is until you taste their Michelin Guide awarded dishes!
I've been going to Amelie wine bar in SF for years and even checked out their West Village location in NYC once! Regardless of location, the service at Amelie is always excellent and the staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. I was thrilled to hear that Germain opened this place in Fairfax. The vibe is super chill and the outdoor seating is relaxing. The food is super delicious, which doesn't surprise me because the chef at his former restaurant Michel is now here. I've loved everything I've ordered from the menu so far, especially the Amelie Burger and the Salt Springs Mussels. The burger is super juicy and the roasted potatoes with aioli is a perfect pairing. The mussels are so plump, well-seasoned, and full of flavor! And of course, the wine selection is always excellent. Keep up the great work, Amelie. I look forward to my next visit! xx Bisous!
My husband went to this restaurant and told me that this restaurant had very good bread but he didn’t have much of other food. So we went there for dinner and it was true, their bread was superb. Other food was delicious as well. The Chardonnay we had was awesome. Our waiter was nice. We sat outside since we had our dog with us but saw that there were quite many people inside. We didn’t try their dessert because we were full from yummy food so we’ll do next time!
F A N T A S T I C Amazing service from don, delicious food from the kitchen (by Arnaud, veronica and dani). The environment outside of nature and town is unique. I’m really looking forward to come back or at least stop by in the future, simple list of wine by the glass but high quality. My favorite dishes the burger, the mussels and onion soup. Don’t forget that is both just a bar-restaurant but it has is own bakery for savory patisserie from pan ai chocolate and traditional croissants, overall they have also fresh French baguette served during the meal with butter Super compliments!
Very nice French gem in the middle of Fairfax. We had lunch on the terrace and were delighted by the quality of the food and taste. Great service too and reasonably priced. A must try.
Delicious food with a great staff. The food was complex with great flavor. The staff was very attentive to our every need. They had a great knowledge of the menu and were able to help pair a perfect meal.
This was a great date night spot! The ambiance was great, food and drinks were amazing, and service was quick and thoughtful. The bread was possibly the best bread I’ve ever had. So good! Will definitely revisit
